The ASID Student Chapter at Alabama has been busy with exciting activities this semester! We kicked things off with a panel featuring ASID representatives from across Alabama, where we gained valuable insights into the life of a residential designer. They shared practical advice on the essential skills and tools we’ll need as we navigate internships and job opportunities in the field.

In addition to professional development events, we had the chance to tour the newly renovated University Club here at Alabama. The University Club is a private dining and special events venue that offers warm Southern hospitality not only to the university community but also to the greater Tuscaloosa area. During the tour, we explored the historic building’s renovations and got an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the services they provide.

To wrap up the semester, we hosted a Christmas decoration competition where students submitted design ideas for holiday décor at the University Club. The winning design will be brought to life and showcased at the venue, bringing our creative concepts to the holiday season!
